One of our top product lines is the Skullgard Protective Caps and Hats, designed to offer outstanding protection in hot and dangerous industries such as steel mills. Skullgard helmets are handmade for durability, classified as Type I for top impact protection, and tested to withstand radiant heat loads producing temperatures up to 350°F.

These caps and hats are commonly used in steel mills, welding, construction, open-pit mining, oil/gas refineries, rubber manufacturing, and steam tunnels. Made from phenolic resin, they come in a variety of styles, including non-slotted cap, full-brim hat, and options with lamp brackets, cord holders, and attached welder lugs.

Available in standard (6.5-8") and large (7-8.5") sizes, Skullgard products feature suspension systems for superior comfort and fit, such as the 4-point Staz-On, FAS-TRAC III, and 1-TOUCH systems. Customization options include imprinting, striping, and high-visibility or temperature-specific variants.

Skullgard Caps and Hats meet ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (Class G) standards and are SEI certified. With a date code molded into the underside of the shell's brim indicating the year and month of manufacture, these helmets are built to last.
